Happy Birthday Andrew!!!

Happy Birthday, Andrew! It's hard to believe it's been one year since I gave birth to you. You are a dream come true for your family. We couldn't have asked for a better child . . . we are all completely smitten with you. Your smile, dimples, giggle, and silly sounds you make . . . you are a constant source of joy.

Your latest accomplishments are a reminder to us that time is passing by quickly. You now crawl everywhere and get into everything! You're also working on getting lots of teeth. You currently have 3 teeth (two top and one bottom) and really hate what you must go through to get those teeth. We are hoping that one of these days you'll be interested in feeding yourself.

You weigh 20 pounds 1/2 ounce and are a big, big boy. I love to hear your voice, especially when you say "Ma Ma", "Na Na" and "Oh Wow!!!". Speaking of sounds, you LOVE drums and anything that makes noise.

Thanks for joining our family one year ago! We love you to the moon and back again!

Happy 10 Months, Andrew!!

Happy 10 months! The time is flying by and we find ourselves wondering how we ever survived without your dimpled smile, silly laugh, and warm hugs. We are so incredibly grateful to have you in our family little Andrew.

9 Months!

Andrew, today you are 9 months old! Your dad and I can hardly believe you're growing up this fast. It took us such a long time to get you and now you're growing up way too fast. Somehow it doesn't seem fair, but at the same time, it is such a fun process to watch how you change and grow each day.

Here are some of your new achievements this past months:

Food: you love spinach mixed with your sweet potatoes and carrots. You also love sucking on frozen mangos and strawberries with the new special gadget mom found at Babies R Us - I wish Laurel had had such a gadget when she was your age. It really helps with teething!

Words: Ma Ma (yeah!), na na, oh oh

New accomplishments: you're finally rolling across the room! Your physical therapist, Miss Kristen, is thrilled with your progress. Your torticollis is looking so much better.

Sleeping: you're losing interest in your morning nap, but enjoy sleeping 2-3 hours in the afternoon. Nighttime is difficult with your teeth all coming in at once, but hopefully we will all get through that together.

We love you - we love your smile - and most of all, we love the spirit you bring into our home!

Sweet Baby Boy

Andrew at 3 months - December 2007
No matter who you become, I will always remember you like today. So forgive me if I (when I) struggle to recognize the man you will become, but I'm just a mom trying to hold on to the memory of my sweet little boy.

7 Months

Andrew is 7 months old today. He has changed dramatically this past month. People tell me that he no longer looks like a baby, but a young boy. We love this smile of his. I'm greeted with this every single morning - it makes waking up worth it! Laurel loves playing with her brother and I'm hoping they remain the best of friends. Andrew's still enjoying food and is not very mobile, which reminds me of his sister. Laurel never crawled, but decided to walk at 18 months. I think Andrew might be just like his sister!

Six months!!!

Happy 6th month birthday, Andrew! We are so glad you are in our family and look forward to many more months and years. You are now eating some solids and love it. You especially love pureed bananas, carrots, squash, and applesauce. Rice cereal doesn't agree with you so well, but there's always oatmeal. You've also begun rolling around, just a little. You're not one to move anymore than you need to. Kristen, your physical therapist, is helping you with that. You are a sweet little boy and the apple of our eyes.

Happy 5 Months!

Happy 5 months to you, Andrew! You're growing into a big boy faster than we'd like, but we enjoy watching all of the great changes you're making. You are still struggling with reflux and allergies, but overall you are a healthy boy. Our next goal is to get you to sleep better and help transition you to your crib. Thanks for bringing so much joy into our lives!
