Laurel's Pre-School Graduation

Laurel "graduated" from her neighborhood pre-school today. Her teacher, Miss Melissa, planned a wonderful pool party at one of her student's homes. They had the most amazing pool, complete with a slide, water fountains, and waterfalls. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool prior to the actual ceremony while the mothers enjoyed visiting. Miss Melissa also prepared a nice BBQ for lunch. Laurel enjoyed the pool, but did not like being in the deep end much, even with a life jacket. Swimming lessons will be good for her in June.

As you can see, Andrew enjoyed "chillin" at the pool while sister played with her friends. The picture above with Andrew in his stroller captures the personality of this little man so well. He just goes with the flow. He was either in my lap or in his stroller the entire 3 hours and barely made a peep. I couldn't believe it.

We are proud to say that Laurel graduated from her first school and we look forward to many more opportunities, like this one. You'll notice above that Laurel even received a diploma. Not too many people can say that they received their diploma in a bathingsuit! Laurel has learned so much in the past 3 months - she can write numbers, letters, and can count quite high. Her next learning adventure will be at DKH Academy this fall. She's very excited to go to her "big girl school" in September.

Sweet Baby Girl

Laurel at 3 months - February 2004

No matter who you become, I will always remember you like today. So forgive me if I (when I) struggle to recognize the woman you will become. But I'm just a mom, trying to hold on to the memory of my sweet little girl.

Two Princesses!

Laurel loves it when her Grandparents tuck her in at night. Here is a special night at Christmas when Grandma Chris actually got into bed with Laurel. I found this photo and couldn't resist posting it.

Andrew and Laurel at 8 months

I thought it would be fun to post pictures of Andrew and Laurel, both at 8 months. You can certainly tell they're siblings! The big difference is that Laurel had lots of dark hair and Andrew has a nice amount of platinum blonde hair.

8 is Great!

Happy 8th month birthday, Andrew! I cannot believe we're already at 8 months. You're growing into such a cute, sweet little boy. You rarely cry or complain and you're always ready with a huge, dimpled smile. I could not have asked for a sweeter, cuter little boy.

Favorite things: mommy holding you; eating everything, particularly chicken and vegetables; playing with Laurel; laughing with Laurel; the camera.

Favorite activities: sleeping in your crip; playing in your exersaucer; physical therapy with Miss Kristen, your favorite therapist; playing with your Leap Frog ball; bathtime; wagon rides; trips to the park in your stroller.

New talents: sitting up on your own; you're still learning to like your front, so crawling will take some time . . . it will come; trying to feed yourself with a spoon. You are also off your reflux medication! Hooray!

We all love you and are so glad you are a part of our family.

New Pictures

Two weeks ago, I had pictures taken of Laurel and Andrew in their Easter outfits. Better late than never, right? Here is one of the pictures. I can't believe how much they've grown!
