Halloween

Happy Halloween!
Carving pumpkins always brings back memories of Chicago . . . it's never the same without my big brother and his family.
Here is a beautiful Tinkerbell on her way to preschool.

Laurel was supposed to be Sleeping Beauty for trick-or-treating, but ever since she returned from Disneyland, she's been mesmerized by Tinkerbell.

Carving pumpkins with daddy and best friend, Gracie. Gracie's dad went to Brighton High School back in the early 80's - my brother and sister knew him. What a small world!
Exhausted beyond belief, little Andrew fights the need to hibernate. Poor guy gets dragged around everywhere!

Laurel pulling her friends to the next house for candy.

Laurel was thrilled to go trick-or-treating with Jayden and "Blue" Tyler. We enjoyed pizza before we headed out into the nice 70 degree evening - it was a beautiful night! The Blues live in Lewisville, but we've been friends for years. Dale grew up in Fresno with Jason and then we lived near Jason and Denise in San Jose. We're so grateful for good friends who live close-by.

Laurel ran into her friend, Nicole, while trick-or-treating. Nicole's dad is from Cherry Hill, NJ, just across the river from Philadelphia. We always enjoy getting together with their family and talking about the Philly area.

They made it! After a long evening of trick-or-treating, we ended in the back of the Blue's van. It was still decked out from their trunk-or-treat party so we took advantage of the photo-op. What a wonderful Halloween!
